For traditional illustrations, watercolor and ink are my favorite media. I normally work on on acid-free 100% cotton watercolor paper so the originals are archival. 
When creating picture books, however, I opt for digital painting in Procreate and Adobe Fresco to ensure the continuity of the color schemes for the characters, the environments, and the story overall.
